New Service Process
When you apply to PGW to get gas service installed for your site, we will need:
- Builder, contractor or customer’s name, mailing address and daytime phone number
- Address where service is being requested
- A list of all new and existing gas appliances with corresponding load input information (BTU/hr)
- Required minimum gas delivery pressure for equipment
- Approved site/construction plans and project timeline
- Completed tax exemption form (if applicable)
- A gas service application completed by the builder, contractor or customer responsible for initially requesting gas service
- Additional Materials That May Be Required:
- Drawing of internal fuel lines if requesting total connected load of 1400 CFH or 2 PSI of delivery pressure or greater
- Proof of Community Development Corporation (CDC) sponsorship
- Acceptable security (i.e. letter of credit)

Always call 811 before doing excavations of any kind so utility lines can be marked on your site.
Digging without having utility lines marked jeopardizes the safety of excavators and can lead to a complete disruption in facilities, including gas, telephone and cable services. Plus, it is against the law.
With your ongoing cooperation and participation in the “Call 811” program, the pipeline industry has been able to decrease excavation damages for all underground facilities by 50% in less than a decade.
