PGW residential customers can receive $70 in instant rebates when they purchase a smart thermostat from PGW Marketplace on pgworks.com. Smart thermostats help conserve energy, improve home comfort and control energy costs.

Who qualifies for a Smart Thermostat?

PGW residential customers that use PGW natural gas service for home heating are eligible. Thermostats are limited to three per account.

EnergySense Equipment Rebates (Commercial & Residential)

There’s no downside to conserving energy—it just makes sense. That’s why PGW created EnergySense, a series of programs, rebates and financial incentives designed to save our commercial and residential customers some green while helping them go green.

When customers upgrade their current natural gas equipment to more eco-friendly high efficiency equipment, they can apply for an EnergySense rebate. Residential customers can receive rebates up to $500 on furnaces and $1,500 on boilers. Commercial customer rebates vary, depending on equipment size and type. Additionally, PGW’s residential rebate information are now available to customers in 14 languages.

Snag $500 with Natural Gas Home Heat Conversion

Residential customers who convert their home or duplex to natural gas heating may be eligible for a $500 credit toward their PGW account.

Who can apply for a Natural Gas Heat Conversion Credit?

PGW residential customers who are current on their bills and convert their home to natural gas heating.

How can I apply for the Natural Gas Heat Conversion credit?

When the heat conversion installation is complete, fill out our Natural Gas Heat Conversion application and attach a copy of your signed installation contract and paid invoice. Once your information is verified and your application is approved, you will receive a $500 credit toward your PGW gas account. Allow 6‐8 weeks for processing.

Water Heater Rebates (Commercial & Residential)

Current residential and commercial customers can see up to $500 applied to their PGW bills by switching to a natural gas hot water heater. Through PGW’s Water Heater Program, a standard tank will get you $200 and a tankless power vent, direct vent or condensing water heater will get you $500 toward your gas bill.

Why convert to a natural gas water heater?

• Natural gas heats water faster than electricity so there’s always enough hot water when you need it.
• Heating water with natural gas costs 50 percent less than electricity and oil.

Who qualifies for a water heater rebate?

PGW residential or commercial customers who are current on their bills and who convert to a qualified, natural gas water heater from an alternate fuel-sourced water heater (electric, oil).

• Choose a qualified contractor or plumber to install a new water heater. Ask about:
  • Available venting options for your home configuration.
  • Water tank sizes and tankless options.
• Apply for Financing to Reduce Out of Pocket Costs
  • Financing options are available:
    • Keystone HELP offers homeowner loans currently starting as low as 0.99% with terms of up to 20 years.
    • The Philadelphia Home Improvement Loan (PHIL) offers low fixed rates (3-5%), terms of up to 20 years, no equity or appraisal requirements and no fees.
• Install New Natural Gas Water Heater & Apply for a Rebate
  • Apply for rebates:
    • Once your natural gas equipment is installed, email res.com@pgworks.com to receive your rebate application.
    • Be sure to have your licensed contractor or plumber fill out and sign the appropriate portions of the PGW rebate application.
